Pondwater studio weaves together visionary art and shamanistic practices with the art of tattooing to cultivate healing. The client and artist embark on a collaborative visionary quest to unearth a tattoo; by journeying to the energy epicenters of Mount Desert island to discover the tattoo meant to honor, guide, protect, and heal.

A vision Quest is a journey that can take many forms, many use this journey to connect with guides and ancestors to discover guidance, medicine, inner-power, and/or
re-connection.
A visionary quests weaves together these two practices to create a collaborative and experimental expedition to discover a tattoo or artwork that provides healing & guidance. Each visionary quest is entirely unique and individualized. Embarking on this journey may present an opportunity to connect with your ancestors, your guides, your unique spirit language, your inner art & architecture.

Visionary Quest
Painting
Embark on a visionary quest to discover your tattoo or painting.
You may feel pulled towards a painted work as opposed to a tattoo, or you may feel inclined to not tattoo the design on your body come the end of the quest in which you may want to carry with you a painted synthesis of the quest rather than a tattoo.
A visonary quest may also incorporate elements of tracking, foraging, and music.
During the quest, charlie will bring a basket of shamanistic and sacred tools
to facilitate meta-communication. You are highly encouraged to bring a sacred item(s) with you on the quest. Each visionary quest will unfurl as needed, and may exist beyond time.
